The only indian restaurant in wellington open till 11:30-12 Highly, highly recommend this gem of a restaurant, whether you're a local or just visiting, Great chilli is absolutely worth the stop. We had a lovely meal with 2 starters, 4 different mains and rather sensibly, 3 naan bread. My chilli paneer won the evening. We all really enjoyed the food. I would have liked the onion bhajis a bit bigger and a friend felt his could be a bit spicier. We will have to go back!

I recently celebrated my birthday at The Great Chilli Restaurant and I just wanted to share how wonderful the experience was. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and special. Decided to try Great Chili restaurant after reading about the lunch experience from another member here. I opted for the Tandoori chicken starter which came out on a sizzling plate which was a nice touch and the best Tamarind Sauce I've tried! For main I went with Chili Chicken - Challenging Heat. The flavors were incredible, the heat is probably enough to blow most peoples head off but I absolutely love Indian food and LOVE heat.. If I'm not weeping in pain it's not hot enough Service - nice and fast, attentive. They asked if I wanted both dishes at the same time, and repeated the order back to me. Food - delicious, really flavorful great size and came out quickly. 4.7 stars with 170+ reviews when I wrote this says it all! 5 stars from me. Dine in and enjoy!
